2月に入ってからもまだまだ寒い日が続いておりますが、
子ども達は変わらず元気いっぱいに過ごしています。
それでは、2月19日のサタデースクールの様子を紹介します。
This month, the children will be playing survival games in gym time.
They ran back and forth to the sound of the whistle.
今月のGymクラスはテーマをサバイバルゲームと題し、
先生が吹く笛に合わせてGym中を走って往復していました。
The Foxes played word games to practice their writing and spelling skills.
Foxesクラスは英語の“Word Game”をしました。
チーム対抗で楽しみながらライティングとスペリングの練習をしています。
The children used their Fred Fingers to help them sound-out and blend the words in their storybooks.
Fred Fingers（フレッドフィンガー）を使って、一音節ずつ指を指して発音し、音をつなげる練習をしました。
The Cubs reviewed body parts in their circle time lesson.
They enjoyed singing “Head Shoulder Knees and Toes” together!
Cubsクラスでは体の部位について学びました。
お馴染みの”Head Shoulder Knees and Toes”の歌を歌っています。
The Chicks and Sparrows learned about numbers in their ESL lesson.
They moved around the carpet to the “Counting Bananas” song!
ChicksクラスとSparrowsクラスはESLレッスンで数字について学びました。
カーペットに描かれた数字を追いかけながら、”Counting Bananas”という歌を歌いました。
The Orange class continued to learn about health in their textbooks.
They are reviewing good habits that keep our bodies healthy.
Orangeクラスは健康についてテキストを使って学びました。
健康を維持するために大切な習慣について話し合っています。
The children are enjoying the word games on Vocabulary A-Z during tech time.
子ども達はiPadを使ってWord Gameをしながら語彙の練習をしています。
The Red and Blue classes learned about activities today.
They discussed their favorite sports and what clubs they have joined at school.
RedクラスとBlueクラスはアクティビティについて学びました。
子ども達は好きなスポーツや小学校で参加しているクラブなどについて話し合っています。
The Wolves learned all about sports today.
They talked about Olympic events and even practiced some of the actions!
Wolvesクラスではスポーツについて学びました。
今開催中の冬季オリンピックの種目について実際に体を動かしながら単語を練習しています。
The Owls reviewed the letters of the alphabet with a fun memory game.
They recalled the letters using flashcards and had to clap to skip the ones that were missing.
Owlsクラスではアルファベットの復習をしました。
子ども達は先生が見せるアルファベットのフラッシュカードを覚えて、
覚えたアルファベットではないアルファベットが出てくると手をたたくという面白いゲームをしました。
To further their learning about dinosaurs, the Owls experimented with lava and volcanoes!
恐竜についてより理解を深めるため、重曹とお酢を使った溶岩と火山の実験をしました！
重曹で作った山にお酢をかけると、まるで溶岩が流れてくるようにモコモコと泡が出てきます。
先生も子ども達もその様子を見て大興奮でした。
